@richardrobinson48693 years ago my view is that there are 100x as many people who are capable of execution as there are that are capable of truly useful and original ideas. The problem is that the people who are good at execution are either just executing non-ideas (ie the are running the system that is already established) or they are executing their own ideas but because they are not actually good at having useful ideas their good execution does very little good to the world. What in my view is needed is to bring the executors and the ideas people together so that they can work together and the executors can do what they do best which is executing and the ideas people can do what they do best which is having ideas. Of course this is simplistic but I believe something like this would unleash a tidal wave of creativity in society. But those who are good at executing would have to put aside their egos and work on other peoples ideas. You need several different types of players on a team, and that is the weakness of our present system in that it relies on the creative types who have the ideas also being pretty good at marketing, managing, fundraising and a few other things. ... 7
