InstantPot Ghee Jeera Rice with Potato Capsicum curry recipe !
Jeera Rice has very less ingrediens which can be done in minutes. But tastes perfect!
Potato Capsicum curry needs basic spices & nuts to thicken the gravy instead of Coconut. This goes well with Chapathi, Phulka, Rice, Poori & Tortilla. Very Simple lunch menu yet so satisfying!!
1 cup - 200 ml
Ingredients:
Jeera Ghee Rice (Serves 3)
2 tsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
1 & 1/4 cup Basmati rice, washed
1 Green Chilli
2 Bayleaves
2 inch Cinnamon stick
6 Cloves
3 Green Cardamom
1 tsp Fennel seeds
1.5 tsp Cumin/Jeera seeds
Salt needed
2 & 1/4 cups Water
———To Garnish———-
1/4 cup Raisins
1/4 cup Cashews
1 tsp Ghee
Instant pot: No soaking. Rice mode. NPR(Natural Pressure Release)
Pressure Cooker: soak for 1/2 an hour & same method with 2 whistles
Potato Capsicum curry: ( Serves 6 )
———To Roast & Grind——
1 tsp Fennel seeds
4 Cashews
2 tbsp Peanuts
————Other ingredients————
Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin seed
1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
Few Curry leaves
1 Onion
2 big Potatoes
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1.5 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Kashmiri chilli/normal Chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1 Tomato
1/2 Green Capsicum
Salt needed
Water
Notes:
+ Add pepper powder instead of Green chilli in jeera rice as per preference
+ You can add boiled potatoes instead of this process to reduce cook time
+ Add Ghee to the rice after opening the lid as per preference. I used less Ghee.
