Why are Sheep and Cattle Poops so Different

When we first got our sheep, I was surprised their droppings didn't resemble cattle manure. In fact, I was a little disappointed because I had planned to do what many other permaculture farmers do and run chickens behind our grazing sheep. This both helps to control flies and the chickens spread the cow manure. But I couldn't do this with sheep. Here's why.
