I am also looking for a suitable device for me. I am on the road a lot and work from home, work or school. I have always felt that this device is too big for my backpack or the train.
Can you tell me something? Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere written what Adobe RGB value this device has. Are the illustrations printed in true colour? I work a lot with Illustration PRINT products.
Before I always worked with the iPad, but I am looking for another solution where I can use Illustration well.

@ewolam4 years ago I think Huion should make a slot designed for fitting laptop at the back of the tablet screen, then we will have a combo similar to this machine but the hardware choice is much more flexible. 14

Some mid or entry level amd apu processor, 8gb ram, 16 or 20 in display, just full hd but fully laminated

I did not expect you to go into benchmarks and thermals, but you did, and that is fantastic.
A shame it didn't have more power or upgradeability, nowadays with ITX form factor motherboards and some other shenanigans it would actually be quite easy to design a device like this that actually was a full fledged and upgradeable desktop PC, with passably good cooling and everything. You could effectively have an entire computer case fit on the back of the tablet, and it honestly would barely even need to be bulkier than it is already. as proven by cases like the Skyreach 4 Mini (A computer case smaller than a gaming console that allows you to have cooling comparable to a full fledged tower chassis, thing is freakin amazing) ... 31

Windows key + Q: and then search for Services.
Will open the Services window and search for the driver and restart or stop and start it again.

As you know I plan to take your classes in the near future, however I have not made the leap to full digital art quite yet. So thank you for steering me clear of this option. Is there any chance that we could get a build option for people with no digital equipment, that could basically take you from taking your classes and others with zero hiccups and allow us to grow into our own professionally with little to no upgrades needed. @chuzzbot3 years ago This would be great for semi portable situations if you need to draw on a large surface with a real os in various locations.
I worry about a spinning hard drive though, even on an ergo arm, wouldn't a bump break it?
So maybe next version might be the one, lighter faster, tougher.
Carrying it around wouldn't be so bad, (I used to do it with a 22 cintiq- weighing twice as much in a padded art bag) but this thing only disconnects the stand/ vesa with screws, so nuhuh.

It was nice, but it wasn't anywhere near portable, if you want integration it should be portable and that would preclude anything above a 16 inch tablet in my opinion. I ended up purchasing the Huion Kanvas 16 Pro $300.00 US on sale, and attached it to my gaming laptop. Best of both worlds. ... 5

I keep waiting for these wacom alternatives to hit the QHD minimum. If this model has etched glass, very light initial activation, and no line jitter, then it seems like they have closed the gap on the other options that I care about.

@17th_Colossus4 years ago I'm thinking about getting the Huion 20inch kamvas 2019 edition. It's also 1080p but I wonder if that will hurt it as this one is 22inch and looks fine (also ppi would go up a bit). I'd go for a 16inch but I want to practice using my elbow more and I'm not sure if 16inches is enough to really get those nice long elbow strokes (sry didn't mean for that to sound weird). I wonder if I should wait for huion to update the 20inch model or if I should just go for it, cuz my xp pen 12inch model is kinda tiny xD ... 1

@brianworden70224 years ago I just got done building and PC because I went through two Surface Pro 7. One was an i7 which had a dead pixel and the kickstand broke within 4 just drawing on it retuned it and the other was an i5 that kept over heating, freezing and getting flickering screen so I had to return that one as well within a week. I wanted something small and portable but my friend talked me into just building a micro atx. Now I need a tablet because the little Wacom one he gave me isn’t going to work for me.. I’m to used to traditional art to not look at my hand when drawing. ... 1

@redandblack6414 years ago I heard that XP Pen is doing some R&D on their version of a Surface Pro. Would buy a 10 to 13 inch all in one from them instantly, though it would probably be around $1500. This seems like a step in that direction for Huion. Make it smaller and more portable, give it a decent battery, and you have a surface pro competitor. Might be more expensive, but you'd have a FAR better pen than the surface's N-Trig pen. ... 3

@daan38984 years ago I have recently bought a Huion pen tablet for use with zbrush, and one annoyance I had was the drivers only allowing Keyboard combination keys ( CTRL + , ALT + , SHIFT + ) and it really messed up functions within zbrush ( lasso select ) and the buttons seemed to stick ( masking + panning ) I managed to find a workaround but Huion should update the drivers for this. ... 2

It’s got an Intel hd graphics chip which isn’t great for artists. I feel like the architecture for this type of device is conceptually outdated. Would probably be better if they used a mobile OS with mobile processors and chipsets for that price. Either that or put a TB3 port to connect to an egpu. ... 5
